Stop Building Disease

We are now living in a time where sickness and disease affects more people today than any other time in our history. It is inconceivable to think that almost 1 in 3 people will develop cancer in their life time or that nearly 2 billion people worldwide are currently overweight.

It is certainly a sad reality, nevertheless, have we ever asked ourselves why this may be the case? Could it be that this phenomenon is simply happening out of chance or have we decided to ignore the obvious? Many questions are bound to arise, yet we must consider a very simple explanation regarding all this.

We are a product of the choices we make! In other words, disease simply does not happen by chance, it is generated through our very thoughts and actions. Certainly, we must not totally discount the genetic factor; however, it should not be considered the prime reason as to why people develop “disease” - as many of us have been persuaded to believe. Our environment or ‘Epigenetics’ - as Bruce Lipton, PhD has discussed - is a much more succinct explanation on how we develop disease. After all, it is our environment which acts as a catalyst for triggering our genetic susceptibilities.

In order to promote a healthy, disease-free body, we must provide it with the right fuel and ensure that it is not being exposed to any toxic elements. A healthy lifestyle begins with active prevention. Eating whole, organic, locally grown food is an important step for building a strong healthy body and mind. As Hippocrates once said; “Let thy food be thy medicine, and thy medicine be thy food”.

Proper nutrition is paramount for the maintenance and promotion of a healthy self. We must stop building disease and take control of our health. We are, after all, our own practitioners.

Your question: What measures, if any, do you take to ensure disease does not infiltrate the body? (Post your comments below)
