Peppermint Iced Tea

For those of you looking to escape the summer heat with a thirst quenching drink, look no further than this classic iced tea recipe to entice your taste buds. We decided to change the classical ice tea recipe up a bit by infusing it with  a little more peppermint cooling power. This traditional drink is sure to cool you down. Nothing says summer like a nice cold glass of iced tea. Take some time to sit back and relax and enjoy the flavours. We hope you enjoy it!

Chilled Peppermint Iced Tea


6 cups (1.5 L) water
1/2 cup (125 ml) dried peppermint leaves or 4 bags peppermint tea
1/2 cup (125 ml) raw honey
Lemon or lime for garnish (optional)
Fresh mint for garnish (optional)


1. In large pot, bring water to a boil. Remove from heat and add peppermint leaves or tea bags. Cover pot and let tea steep for approximately 30 minutes.

2. Strain tea into another pot or  bowl, pressing the leaves to get all the liquid out. While water is still hot, stir in honey. Let tea cool and transfer to pitcher.

3. Chill in refrigerator or serve over ice.

Serves 4.

  1. Nice recipe :) I'm actually drinking water with a drop of peppermint essential oil in it. Anything to beat the 100 degree heat lol.
