Sunflower Seed Orbs

We are delighted to present to you a wonderfully delicious recipe that you are surely going to love. It is chalked full of protein and vitamin E to provide your body with necessary marco and micronutrient support as well as it has plenty of fibre to help stabilize your blood sugar. These orbs are perfect to take with you on your next hike or you can enjoy them aside a cup of hot tea. Either way they'll provide you with a sweet, nutritious energy boost.

Sunflower Seed Orbs


2 cups (500 mL) organic pitted dates 
1 lb (450 g) unsalted, organic sunflower seed butter 
3 cups (750 mL) organic quick rolled oats 
1/2 cup shelled organic unsalted sunflower seeds (optional)

Tools Needed:

-Food processor
-Large bowl


1. Put dates into food processor and process. You may need to add a few tablespoons of boiling water to help chop them up. 

2. Add sunflower seed butter to food processor and mix until smooth.

3. Put combined dates and sunflower seed butter into large bowl and add oats 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. 

4. With clean hands, form 1 in (2.5 cm) balls and place on plate. Cover and refrigerate. 


Makes 25 servings.

Each serving contains: 220 calories; 7 g protein; 10 g total fat (0 g trans fat); 27 g carbohydrates; 3 g fibre; 1 mg sodium
